What is your path?

Next time you are out and about, whether you are at work, the mall, in a coffee shop or just taking some time for yourself, take a moment to look around.  Not just to see where you are or what is directly in front of you, but really notice. Absorb everything around you. Really soak in the wonder of what most people take for granted every day.  The air you are breathing, the sky, the plants and trees around you (even the buildings). Note the temperature today, the sounds of your environs, any breeze stirring the air. ADD But most of all ponder over the other people around you.

Every single person you see has a unique story.  Each and every one has their own pathway that has led them to this exact moment in time and place.

The sum of every choice and every decision that was made by each person through time has added up to them being exactly where they are right now

So… think for a moment of your own pathway to this very day.  Contemplate the parts of your journey so far and the decisions you have made that have resulted in … well… you.  At this moment. Your job. Your friends. Your loved ones. Your habits. Everything about you.

I want you to think of your life as a timeline, a pathway signposted here and there with significant events or circumstances along its route to where you are right now.  Now look ahead along the path, to the future life that you have planned for yourself.

Is the path you are on now going to get you there?  If you continue along the same straight line as you are travelling, will you grow into that idyllic version of yourself? If the answer is yes, then you are on the right pathway to achieve goals and live the life you have always wanted.

If the answer is NO, what do you need to do to get yourself on the right pathway? Even if it turns out to be a crooked one.  Your future pathway need not be straight, but its important to continue to move toward that destination that you want.

If you feel held back, or struggle to see the right way forward, its important to keep going.  Large goals can be achieved with small steps.

It’s not about perfection. It’s about effort. And when you implement that effort in your life.

Every single day, that’s where transformation happens. That’s how change occurs. Keep going. Remember why you started. A good coach will help you to not only clarify your goals and the future you of choice, but will offer you the personal and individual tools that will ensure you actually reach that destination.
